my sleeping fingers hear night rain
they sweep wide
opening a window
my waking skin is dampened
smelling wakened soil
~
my blood is pounding
melting runoff
~
breathing it all in
deep as my lungs will take it
tender buds
unfurl in my brain

My blood is pounding…surging from the inspiration of this life force given voice. Refreshed thank you! I needed that giddy up, especially as I saddle up for a long ride to an intense dance rehearsal :). Beautiful words and image. Xoxo

A beautiful question GeoSans…It seems like the image of the spiral…this primal spring archetype has been informing us lately. There’s another spiraling/emerging plant I look for in the woods..black cohosh….like small hands unwrapping fingers spiraling into leaves. Happy Spring!
