“Passions that quicken your senses, fulfill; quench the thirst of lonesome years! Yet the sun has shadows, learn to control your will; to enjoy life long happiness, not tears! Wait! Rise to the stars above & thrill! Arouse the very flames of life! Sweetheart, kiss me: Hold still, hold still!”….. Excerpt from Dr Bronner’s original rant.

“The human microbiome (or human microbiota) is the aggregate of microorganisms, a microbiome that resides on the surface and in deep layers of skin, in the saliva and oral mucosa, in the conjunctiva, and in the gastrointestinal tracts. They include bacteria, fungi, and archaea. One study indicated they outnumber human cells 10 to 1.”

Ten thousand kisses in one embrace. Are the pan-experientialists right, would the microbiota feel the love?

Ah Hariod! Fun to contemplate…. my microbiota respond to stress. This is easy to experience for anyone. Simplistic, really. Makes the imagination spin! Let’s consider the collective twitter in orgasm, in gestation and birthing. On the other end…in meditation…. endless relationships.
Begs the question…. what is a ‘balanced’ organism? We receive clues from our microbiota when we are out of balance… not always subtle, uniquely complex, how loving…!

I’m still reeling (cleanly so) from following your link to Dr. Bronner’s rant…unbelievable stream of consciousness writing. I want to bathe in that magic soap as I bathe in your microbiotial drawing and words…submerged and slippery as a mermaid, emerging into wild fields and jungles clutching a loofa and a rubber duck…

From lips meeting in a field to Dr. Bronner’s Magic soap! My skin is tingling but I’m not even sure now it’s my skin I’m feeling! The drawing is like a mosaic in ancient time. Love it!

The artwork is sheer Khoisan, the first people ‘they’ say – again the spirit realm is universal, not particular to race or nation. And contemplating all those microbes living on in me – one wants to be horrified but there’s no point and no running away from (it) them. It’s hilarious! It’s also a bigger lesson than is stated methinks.

Sheer Khoisan? If you are referring to the Bushmen I am deeply honored at a comparison. I have great love and respect for these beautiful people. I do admire the energetic quality in indigenous art. To me, this in itself is a certain kind of “language”. Yes! it translates across race or nation. And also yes! We are not alone….. in fact we are surrounded, immersed in, hosting a wild symbiosis of life. Hehehe…
